About Me

Learn more about the person behind the work.

Hello, I'm Zaire Durfee, a passionate artist with over a decade of experience in both traditional and digital mediums. My journey in art began in 2014, and since then, I've honed my skills across various disciplines, eager to bring creativity and innovation to every project I undertake.
I hold an Associate of Fine Arts from Central Piedmont Community College and am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Throughout my academic journey, I've consistently pushed the boundaries of my craft, striving for excellence in every endeavor. I've also served as the Secretary of the UNCC graphic design club Niner Designers since January of 2024 and have gained useful experience and friendships in doing so.
Professionally, I've had the privilege of contributing to the creative vision of SBM Solar, Inc. since the age of 16, where I've cultivated extensive experience in graphic design. This role has sharpened my technical abilities and instilled in me a deep understanding of the intersection between art and industry.
Beyond my professional endeavors, music, particularly punk music, serves as a cornerstone of my artistic expression. Drawing inspiration from the raw energy and rebellious spirit of punk, my work often reflects these influences, combined with my personal femininity and positivity. Additionally, I actively engage in music creation, using my vocals, guitar, and bass skills in the pursuit of starting a riot grrrl style punk band.
I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to leverage my diverse skill set and passion for art in contributing to future projects. I bring a positive outlook and a determined mind into everything I do and I look forward to making amazing things with other creatives.
